PANEL DISCUSSION ON 1/20/10 ? UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN LAW SCHOOL

TACKLING INVASIVE SPECIES IN THE GREAT LAKES

A new aquatic invasive species is discovered in the Great Lakes  
roughly every 7 months.  Join the panelists as they consider how best  
to address the problem of invasives ? particularly those that enter  
the Great Lakes through the ballast water of ships.

The panel discussion will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 5:30-7:00  
p.m., in Room 120 of Hutchins Hall at the Law School.  The event is  
free and open to the public.

The panelists include:

- Thomas Cmar, Attorney, Natural Resources Defense Council
- Thomas Johengen, Associate Research Scientist & Associate Director,  
Cooperative Institute for Limnology & Ecosystems Research, University  
of Michigan
- Robert Reichel, Assistant Attorney General, Michigan Department of  
Attorney General
- Georges Robichon, Senior Vice-President and General Counsel, Fednav Limited

Moderator:  Sara Gosman, Adjunct Professor of Law, University of  
Michigan.  From 2004 to 2008, Sara was an Assistant Attorney General  
in the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division of the  
Michigan Department of Attorney General
