PROPELLER CLUB of Duluth-Superior meets this Friday, January 22 @ noon
at the Shack  in Superior. Below are details about this week's topic
plus a list of upcoming dates and maritime-related topics for 2010 that
you may want to cover...       

 

Featured speaker: 

Dr. Richard Stewart, 

Co-director of the Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute (GLMRI) &
Director, UW-S Transportation & Logistics Research Center 

 

TOPIC: 

"The Superior Research Institute: A Partnership for Progress"  

Dr. Stewart will introduce us to the inspiration behind, and growing
support for, a proposed waterfront development project in Superior - one
facility that will merge the needs of maritime research, public outreach
and education.  

 

GUESTS are always welcome. In fact, "LUNCH IS ON US!"  As a way to
introduce more folks to PROP CLUB and boost membership ranks, the board
will "pick up the tab" for a guest's first lunch meeting this year. If

commercial fishing 

May 21                Maritime Day celebration - Frank Ongaro, executive
director, MiningMinnesota
