Alliance Launches Great Lakes Action Center: Take Action on Asian Carp
Today

The Alliance for the Great Lakes today launches a first-of-its-kind
Great Lakes Action Center, a tool for advocates to voice their opinions
and engage their friends on relevant issues with just a few keystrokes.

The online system is focused exclusively on Great Lakes issues and
enables members, volunteers and the public to quickly and easily
participate in issue advocacy with Congress, federal agencies, state
officials and local governments, and to reach the media via
Letters-to-the-Editor.

The new action center launches with a petition drive to collect 5,000
signatures calling on President Obama to support permanently separating
the Great Lakes and Mississippi Rivers to keep Asian carp -- and other
invasives -- from traveling between and damaging these two major
watersheds.
