New Elevation Inventory for the Great Lakes Watershed http://greatlakesrestoration.us/?p=838 A comprehensive inventory of elevation data sets for the Great Lakes is now available from the NOAA Coastal Services Center. This Topographic and Bathymetric Data Inventory is focused on best-available datasets and is accessed through an online, interactive viewer that displays the extent of data, helpful information about data set quality, and a link to download the data or a Point of Contact to access the data. The inventory can be used to identify existing data sets or strategically target areas for collection to fill data gaps. The inventory includes publicly available data from states, counties, cities, regional governance, NOAA, USGS, USACE, and FEMA and was funded by the EPA Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. Explore the site at www.csc.noaa.gov/topobathy/ to find out what elevation data is available for your area.
