Training will be provided on two topics in four separate training modules on June 29 and 30, 2010: Preparing Project-level Quality Documentation, and Reviewing Project-level Quality Documentation. The 4 hour webinar, Preparing Project-Level Quality Documentation, will provide an introduction to the essential elements of quality assurance project plans (QAPPs). The 4 hour webinar Reviewing Project-level Quality Documentation will assist in completing a review as well as understanding the necessary components of quality documentation. QAPPs are used to plan and implement the generation, assessment and/or use of environmental data necessary for decision-making. It is expected that the scope of many Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) projects supported by assistance agreements and interagency agreements will include environmental data and, in turn, will require submission of a QAPP or other quality documentation as determined by U.S. EPA. All organizations, which have submitted GLRI proposals that have been accepted by U.S. EPA, should plan to participate in Preparing Project-Level Quality Documentation on June 29-30, 2010. Other organizations which may submit GLRI proposals in the future for consideration by U.S. EPA are also invited to participate. Training will be available through on-line webinars (webinar registration links below). For further information contact Amberina Khan at 312-886-1503. A certificate of completion will be awarded to attendees who complete each 4-hour training session, resulting in a total of two certificates for attendance to the full suite of training. http://greatlakesrestoration.us/?p=773 Preparing Project-level Quality Documentation --------------------------------------------- (1) Preparing Project-level Quality Documentation (QAPP)- Instructional Session Tue, Jun 29, 2010 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM CDT Registration Web Link: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/303673952 This 2-hour workshop will detail the elements of a project-level quality document and walk participants through the process of preparing quality documentation.
