UM Environmental Law & Policy Program Lecture Series Speaker on March 23 The University of Michigan's Law ELPP Lecture Series will present Larry J. Schweiger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Wildlife Federation, on Tuesday, March 23 at 5:00 p.m. in the Law School's Lawyers Club Lounge, 551 S. State St. The presentation is free and open to the public with a reception and book signing immediately following. In his book Last Chance: Preserving Life on Earth, Schweiger breaks down the science behind global climate change and takes us from Lake Erie to the icebergs of Greenland, and from Congress to America's classrooms and farmlands. He shares with us how the clean energy economy can provide the solutions we need to avert the worst consequences of global warming and he uses scientific facts and common sense to appeal to the minds and hearts of readers. The book Last Chance was released by Fulcrum Publishing in September 2009 and can be found at http://www.nwf.org/lastchance. Copies will be available on-site.
