Over 300 Great Lakes business, labor, political, environmental, civic  
and philanthropic leaders attended a May 18th Washington Summit: Auto  
Communities and the Next Economy: Partnerships in Innovation,  
co-sponsored by the White House Council on Auto Communities and  
Workers, the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program, the  
United States Department of Labor, and the Funders' Network for Smart  
Growth and Livable Communities.
