The potential for offshore wind development in Lake Michigan represents one
of the state's greatest opportunities for energy development, economic
growth and environmental protection. But it is also one of the most
controversial, as a careful balance must be struck between the needs of
sustainable energy and the Great Lake's diverse environmental, economic and
social interests.

 

How does Michigan tap into this enormous alternative energy opportunity and
ensure that it's most valuable natural resource is protected for future and
present generations? 

 

As part of the Exploring Our Energy Future Forums, the West Michigan
Environmental Action Council and the Center for Sustainability at Aquinas
College are examining the impacts, issues and opportunities of local
