The International Association for Great Lakes Research invites you to participate in the 54th Annual Conference on Great Lakes Research, to be held May 30 - June 3, 2011, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center in Duluth, Minnesota. We welcome abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations. Deadline: January 21, 2011 The conference theme is Big Lakes - Big World. More than 30 sessions have been proposed, touching on virtually every aspect of Great Lakes research and management. Sessions with a natural science and human impact focus include those addressing physical processes, biological structure and function, ecosystem dynamics, catchment and coastal processes, eutrophication, contaminants, and invasive species. Other sessions will focus more on management and governance issues and will include contributions addressing science-policy linkages, education and outreach initiatives and progress in Great Lakes Areas of Concern. While the sessions span a wide range of subjects, there is also a general contribution session for papers not fitting clearly within these designated sessions. To view Sessions, go to http://www.iaglr.org/conference/sessions.php All interested persons are invited to submit abstracts for consideration. All oral presentations will be scheduled for Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3. Posters will be given a high profile through daily displays.
