Environmental Law & Policy Program Lecture Series Speaker on October 8

Michigan Law's Environmental Law & Policy Program will present Todd D.  
Stern, U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change, on Friday, Oct. 8 at  
12:30 p.m. in Hutchins Hall, Rm. 120.  He will discuss A New Paradigm:  
  Climate Change Negotiations in the Post-Copenhagen Era.  A lunch  
reception will be held at noon in the Hutchins Courtyard.  Free and  
open to the public.

Todd Stern was named as Special Envoy by Secretary of State Hillary  
Clinton on January 26, 2009.  As the Administration?s chief climate  
negotiator, Mr. Stern plays a central role in developing the United  
States? international policy on climate, representing the United  
States internationally at the Ministerial level in all bilateral and  
multilateral negotiations regarding climate change.  He also  
participates in the development of domestic climate and clean energy  
policy.
