This workshop is designed for local stakeholders in the Siskiwit River watershed in Cornucopia, Wisconsin to use the recently completed sediment source database of the watershed in order to monitor sediment sources and identify sediment reduction priority areas. The technical workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Cornucopia Town Hall located at: Cornucopia Town Hall 22615 County Highway C Cornucopia, WI 54827 Representatives from the US Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District will be leading a meeting discussing the sediment source database and recommendations associated with the study. The purpose of this technical workshop is to provide an opportunity for local community stakeholders and interested parties to learn how to use the sediment source database that has been developed for the Siskiwit River watershed. Sediment management recommendations will also be presented. This workshop marks the end of this project and will serve to transfer the technological tools and knowledge back to the watershed communities for its continued use. The workshop will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am CST on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.
