International Association for Great Lakes Research Call for Sessions Deadline: October 22, 2010 We solicit proposals for scientific sessions for IAGLR's 54th Annual Conference on Great Lakes Research in Duluth, Minnesota, May 30 - June 3, 2011. All members of IAGLR and the related research community are invited to submit session ideas. The conference theme is Big Lakes - Big World. In keeping with this theme, we particularly welcome sessions that address the links between continent- or global-scale environmental issues and their manifestation in large lakes, but sessions dealing with any aspect of large lakes research are welcome. For example, special sessions might address topics such as: * Global transport of invasive species * Biogeochemistry of high-latitude lakes * Microbial threats to large lakes * Paleolimnology of tropical great lakes * Great Lakes restoration * Comparative physical limnology * Ecosystem services of coastal zones * Chemicals of emerging concern Special sessions will be balanced with general contributed sessions at the conference.
