All: The American Water Resources Association Annual (AWRA) Conference in Albuquerque, NM on November 7-10, 2011 will host a multidisciplinary group of water resource professionals who will gather to present their latest research on surface water and groundwater interaction, effects of natural and anthropogenic sources on water quality, water reuse and conservation, artificial recharge, stormwater management, desalination, and more. There will be a special session on green infrastructure techniques in Rust belt cities. The abstract for the session is attached. If you are involved in GI projects in the Great Lakes region please consider participating in this session by submitting an abstract through the AWRA website by the deadline of May 13, 2011 ( http://www.awra.org/meetings/ABQ2011/abstracts.html). Please be sure to identify the special session title and organizer when you apply. We hope to hear from a variety of cities across the Midwest and Northeast to show the importance of green infrastructure in stormwater management. Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions. Thanks so much!
