Environmental Law & Policy Program Lecture Series Speaker on April 11

Please join Michigan Law's Environmental Law & Policy Program for a special evening honoring Joseph L. Sax on Monday, April 11th at 7:30 p.m. in 250 Hutchins Hall. He will discuss "An Environmental Agenda: The Task Before Us."

Joe taught at Michigan from 1966 to 1986, before joining the faculty at the University of California (Boalt Hall) where he is now an emeritus professor. He also served in President Clinton's administration as the counselor to the secretary of the interior and deputy assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of the Interior. During his two decades at Michigan, Joe was the leading scholarly voice in the development of our environmental law system and a mentor to hundreds of students who have gone on to become leaders of the environmental law movement in the U.S. We are delighted to celebrate Joe and his contributions at Michigan - and to hear from him about the environmental challenges we face today - in the final event of this year's Environmental Law and Policy Program Lecture Series. We hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be a memorable occasion at Michigan Law.
