Great Lakes Accountability System (GLAS) Status
The second reporting period for GLAS, which was scheduled for April
1-15, 2011, has been delayed so that a new updated system can be put in
place. The delay moves the reporting period to April 25-May 9, 2011 for
GLRI funding recipients to enter their information in GLAS. GLAS will
remain in view-only mode until April 25, 2011 so recipients will not be
able to enter data until then. This schedule change was needed to
provide sufficient time to complete improvements to GLAS version 1.1
that will simplify reporting (http://glri.us/accountability.html).

Project Measures
The Project Measures area has been re-designed to streamline the
selection of Measures tracked by the GLRI Action Plan.  A drop-down list
of specific measures based on your focus area has been added.  For
example, if a project is in the Toxics Focus Area, the Measures
drop-down list will be populated only with Measures for that Focus Area.
Answering a few quick questions will then lead you to the correct choice
of measure for your project and provide you with the correct unit of
measurement.  You will only need to add a numerical value.

Request Account
Recipients need to ensure that all those contributing to on-line
reporting for GLAS have working GLAS accounts. Funding recipients can
have as many accounts as needed - for those reporting and those
reviewing the submissions.

Existing accounts - passwords
Users that reported in January 2011 will need to have their passwords
reset.  If you have not already reset your password you will receive
your new credentials in a series of emails.

Webinars and Training
Training in use of the revised version of GLAS (version 1.1) and GLAS
account maintenance will be provided in webinars.
Two dates are available - both sessions will have the same content.
