- apparent phytoplankton in near shore areas throughout most of Saginaw 
Bay.

- phytoplankton throughout Lake St. Clair, but with 
heavy indications of outbreak along the south shore of Lake 
St. Clair in Ontario from the mouth of the Thames River and 
west.

- In western Lake Erie, apparent growth of phytoplankton covers
most of the area from the western Lake Erie Michigan shoreline to 
a line from Pt. Pelee to Sandusky Bay. Note also the apparent
'flow-through' from Lake St. Clair of phytoplankton on the Canadian side of the 
Detroit River into Lake Erie...

shows a different view. Many of the same areas are shown in this prior day view from August 26, 2011......
