The webinar is directed at individuals, organizations, companies, local governments, and others that are interested in this technology. This webinar will highlight the efforts of several public and private organizations that have worked over the last several years to increase access to real-time environmental monitoring data within the Great Lakes.  Presentations will be given by S2 Yachts, the University of Michigan, Michigan Tech Research Institute, LimnoTech, and the Great Lakes Observing System.  Topics covered include the technology and hardware required to make real-time measurements, review of buoy deployment applications in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, the types of real-time data currently available, local impacts and community involvement, and the effort associated with procuring and maintaining these instruments.
