Registration for the State of the Science Workshop on the Ecological Effects
of Wind is now open. Today, February 11, is the LAST DAY to take advantage
of the early bird registration rate! The registration page can be accessed

Workshop Overview

The purpose of the workshop is to enhance the understanding of wind
development effects on the biota and ecosystems of the Great Lakes region,
including birds, bats, fisheries and both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. 

 

Specific objectives include:

.         To provide a forum to share information on the state of research
on ecological effects of wind.

.         To identify research needs based on workshop discussion and in
consultation with the GLWC Wind Atlas, Siting & Permitting Workgroup.

.         To provide a networking opportunity for regional researchers and
stakeholders.

.         To develop regional project ideas and facilitate partnerships in
pursuing research priorities.

Lodging
