The Estuary Habitat Restoration Council is soliciting proposals for estuary
habitat restoration projects. Limited funding is available. These projects
should achieve cost-effective restoration while promoting partnerships among
agencies and between public and private sectors.

Priority consideration will be provided to project proposals that:

     * Are designed to address projected climate change impacts;
     * Occur within a watershed where there is a program being implemented
that addresses sources of pollution and other activities that
otherwise would
adversely affect the restored habitat; and
     * Include pilot testing or demonstration of an innovative technology or
approach having the potential to achieve better restoration
results than
conventional technologies, or comparable results at lower cost
in terms of
         energy, economics, or environmental impacts.

Selected projects must provide ecosystem benefits, have scientific merit, be
technically feasible, cost-effective, and support the Estuary Habitat
Restoration Strategy.

Please read all the requirements carefully, discuss potential projects
with your Corps Districts,
and include funding for Federal agency staff involvement. Projects that are
well into project design will generally have an advantage.

The deadline for applications is March 10, 2011. For more information on
eligibility and how to apply, visit http://www.era.noaa.gov
