If you haven't already, be sure to visit the GLMRIS Web site, find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. http://glmris.anl.gov http://facebook.com/GLMRIS http://twitter.com/GLMRIS The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in consultation with other federal agencies, Native American tribes, state agencies, local governments and non-governmental organizations, is conducting GLMRIS: a feasibility study that evaluates a range of options and technologies to prevent the transfer of aquatic nuisance species between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River by aquatic pathways. The Corps solicited public comment on the scope of GLMRIS from November 16, 2010 through March 31, 2011. Over 900 comments were submitted through the GLMRIS Web site, mail and 12 public scoping meetings held throughout the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins. All comments, as well as transcripts from the public meetings, have been posted to the GLMRIS Web site.
