*BRINGING EXPERTS TOGETHER: *CZ11 brings experts, agency leads and community
leaders  together to discuss new directions for managing and sharing
responsibility for these resources. From exploring how the Nation’s first
Ocean Policy is providing a framework for improved management, to
discussing  what it takes
to keep the Gulf of Mexico healthy and examining what society can do to
prepare for and adapt to climate
change, this conference is a place where future strategies will be exchanged
and explored.



An impressive list of distinguished federal agency representatives, tribal
members, policy makers, resource managers and industry representatives will
participate in panel discussions, focus sessions and café conversations.
All sessions are aimed at engaging audience participation and exchange of
ideas. Many of
these discussions fall in line with how our Nation is working to implement
the one-year old National Ocean
Policy. This will encourage greater collaboration and coordination as we
work together to protect and
enhance the way we manage our Nation’s resources.
