The Great Lakes Fishery Commission (GLFC) is pleased to announce the addition of a highly dynamic, user friendly photo database to its website: http://www.glfc.org/multimedia/. GLFC is making the photos available to the public for noncommercial, educational purposes, free for use. Members of the media, agency personnel, teachers and students, and the public are encouraged to use the database to obtain images for articles, presentations, and outreach materials. Currently, the database contains hundreds of high resolution images of sea lamprey, various species of fish, scenic locations, and people living, working and recreating throughout the Great Lakes region. Each photo includes a title, description, and credit information (photographer name and date taken). Users can elect to download either a low or high resolution copy. If you would like to have your photo(s) included in the database, please contact Jill Wingfield [jwingfield at glfc.org<mailto:jwingfield at glfc.org>]. Photo submissions will be reviewed by GLFC staff and considered for inclusion. In the coming months, the commission will be adding a new electronic newsletter, video footage, and database visualizations to the website. These new features will be announced as they are added. We look forward to you visiting our website!
