Introduction to U.S. EPA’s Quality Program Tuesday April 12, 2011 9am – 11am Central Time Registration web link: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/897005161 U.S. EPA Region 5 and the Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) are sponsoring a two-hour training session providing a basic introduction to U.S. EPA’s quality program as it pertains to environmental data operations. The session will discuss: U.S. EPA’s quality assurance (QA) policies and guidance; Quality requirements pertaining to EPA organizations, programs and projects; Quality requirements pertaining to extramural agreements (i.e. acquisitions/ contracts, assistance/grants, interagency agreements and cooperative agreements) Target Audience This session is designed as an introductory training for individuals who plan, generate, assess and/or use environmental data as well as those who manage or implement (i.e. recipients) extramural agreements. The audience includes U.S. EPA managers and staff (including new employees), and external organizations such as other federal agencies, states, Indian tribal governments, local agencies, universities and not-for-profit organizations. The session is expected to be beneficial to both technical and non-technical staff and will provide a foundation for future quality training sessions. Prerequisites: None Training Format: The training session will be offered via webinar to off-site U.S. EPA employees and to external organizations.
