ST LOUIS RIVER ALLIANCE NEWS RELEASE March 29, 2011 Contact: Julene Boe, Executive Director, (218) 733-9520 St. Louis River Environmental Stewardship Awards Ceremony DULUTH, Minn. - The St. Louis River Alliance will hold its 16th Annual Environment Stewardship Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 5. This event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Spirit Mountain in the Moosehead Lodge, overlooking the St. Louis River. These annual awards recognize the people, organizations, businesses, and institutions that have provided outstanding service toward restoring, protecting, and enhancing the St. Louis River and its watershed. Clean water and a healthy St. Louis River are essential components for the region's quality of life and economy vitality. Many citizens make contributions toward achieving this quality of life for everyone through their work, business decisions, community involvement, and personal lifestyles. This event, held in the past in January along with the organization's annual meeting, was moved to April this year. "The move was made to make the awards ceremony a stand-alone event as well as move it away from what has usually been the coldest night of the year" said Executive Director Julene Boe. The extended forecast temperature for April 5 is 38 degrees - above zero. The awards ceremony is free and open to the public. For more information, call (218) 733-9520. ### -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
