King <http://changingclimate.osu.edu/assets/images/content/people/lonnie-king.jpg> Lonnie J. King Dr. Lonnie J. King, DVM, MS, MPA, ACVPM is the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. He also serves as the executive dean of the seven health sciences colleges at Ohio State, as well as the lead dean for the Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases program. Prior to coming to Ohio State, Dr. King directed the National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-Borne and Enteric Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He served Michigan State University as dean for 10 years and prior to that spent 19 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. As the nation’s chief veterinarian, he worked extensively in global trade agreements and has testified before congress on issues of emerging diseases.
