IAGLR -  CALL FOR PAPERS

55th Annual Conference on Great Lakes Research

 

The International Association for Great Lakes Research, in partnership with
the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences, Queen’s
University and our aboriginal hosts, the Mohawks of Akwesasne, invites you
to participate in a joint conference on Great Lakes Research and the St.
Lawrence River Ecosystem, May 13-17, 2012, in Cornwall, Ontario. We welcome
abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations. 

 


DEADLINE: January 20, 2012   


 

More than 50 proposed sessions explore the conference theme From Great Lakes
Flow Mighty Rivers. These sessions span broad aspects of Great Lakes-St
Lawrence River science, governance and policy, and, in particular, highlight
the connectedness of the ecosystem.

Interested persons are invited to submit abstracts for consideration. All
oral presentations will be scheduled for Monday, May 14 through Thursday,
May 17.  Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, followed by a
5-minute question/discussion period. Posters will be given a high profile on
Monday evening.  Both oral and poster presentations will require an
abstract.  Further information, including descriptions of proposed sessions
and contact details for session chairs, is available online.  A $50 fee is
required for each abstract submitted.  Payment of the abstract fee does not
constitute registration for the conference. The abstract deadline will not
be extended. 

 

All abstracts must be submitted via the IAGLR web site
<http://www.iaglr.org/conference> wwww.iaglr.org/conference/. We encourage
authors to submit abstracts for specific sessions, but also will accept
general contributions. Abstracts should describe results and the relevance
of the work being done, as well as the implications for advancing our
knowledge or the effectiveness of policy.
