About the Conference 
The Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps) conference and training is an
annual event featuring afternoon training sessions (free of charge) for
interested volunteer coordinators on Monday, October 24th, and presentations
and dialogue on lake and stream monitoring activities in Michigan on
Tuesday, October 25th. 

The conference will celebrate the work of MiCorps volunteers and take a
closer look at some of the current efforts and targeted uses of monitoring
around the state to protect Michigan's lakes and streams. This year's
conference will follow a general theme of "Michigan's Clean Water
Challenges" and will feature topics such as native species and invasive
species monitoring; leading, managing, and inspiring volunteerism; and much
more. In addition, the conference will include presentations from volunteers
around the state; regional experts; and DEQ, DNR and MiCorps staff. 

Who Should Attend 
The conference is intended for volunteer monitoring program leaders, citizen
volunteers, water resource professionals, and others interested in the
health and protection of Michigan's rivers, lakes and streams.

Environmental Quality (DEQ) in collecting and sharing water quality data for
use in water resources management and protection programs.
