Minnesota Sea Grant will host  "A Salute to Lake Superior's Sustainable
Fisheries" at the McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis, Minn., on November
1 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The event features ten top Minnesota chefs creating
lake herring entrees to win a prize of $1,000 and high American Culinary
Federation accolades. The event also celebrates Lake Superior’s sustainable
lake herring fishery and the legacy of Sea Grant founder Athelstan Spilhaus.
University and Minnesota officials will be on hand. More information about
