Don't Miss "Unleashing the Clean Economy: Regional Innovations for Sustainable Communities

Last call, the SyracuseCoE Symposium will be held at the Oncenter in Syracuse, NY on Thursday, September 22 and Friday September 23. The theme of this year's event is "Unleashing the Clean Economy: Regional Innovations for Sustainable Communities" and will address opportunities and strategies for regional economic development.

Keynote presentations will include speakers such as :


·      John Cronin, Director and CEO, Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries

·      Amy Liu, Co-Director and Senior Fellow, Metrpolitan Policy Program at The Brookings Institution, will discuss the recently published report, "Sizing the Clean Economy: A National and Regional Green Jobs Assessment", and how it applies to regional economies across New York State

·      Eric Keune, AIA, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will present a vision plan for regions surrounding the Great Lakes.

·      Roy Kienitz, Under Secretary for Policy, US Dept. of Transportation


Session tracks will be focused on community-based innovations as well as resource, energy and advanced building innovations, and workshops will feature experts in advanced energy technologies, green infrastructure and energy policy. The program also includes discussion panels on water pollution, biomass and sustainable architecture. CEUs credits will be available and GBCI CE's and AIA credits are currently pending.
