Lake Superior Marine Museum Association Gift Store Presents
Book Signing of Dr. Mark Seeley's "Voyageur Skies"
Meteorologist, climatologist and weekly commentator on MN Public Radio's
"Morning Edition," Dr. Mark Seeley, will be at the gift store located on the
lower level of the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center in Canal Park from
1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 22. Dr. Seeley will sign copies
of his and co-author Don Breneman's latest release, "Voyageur Skies, Weather
and the Wilderness in Minnesota's National Park."
The 136-page book with over 80+ color photos features chronicles of spring,
summer, fall and winter in Voyageurs National Park through Don Breneman's
stunning photographs. The books text is written by Dr. Seeley and provides
an explanation of the effects the weather and climate has on shaping the
park's pristine landscape.
The LSMMA is a non-profit organization established in 1973 to preserve the
region's maritime history. It also helps support the Marine Museum at the
Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center. The
Association sponsors maritime-related educational and promotional programs
and assists in the maintenance and purchase of museum displays.
