Lake Superior Marine Museum Association Presents 

"Andrew Slade - Hiking Lake Superior's North Shore" 

                                                                        

 

"Hiking Lake Superior's North Shore" will be presented by the Lake Superior
Marine Museum Association (LSMMA) in conjunction with the Lake Superior
Maritime Visitor Center on Thursday, September 29 from 7pm to 9pm at Canal
Park Lodge, 205 Canal Park Drive in Duluth.  This event is the first of the
Evening Entertainment Series programs for the fall 2011 season.  Admission
and parking are free.

 

Andrew Slade, local author, environmental educator, and naturalist, will
share stories, tips, day hike options and details of lesser-known North
Shore hiking trails.  Pick up your walking stick and join LSMMA for the
opportunity to meet Slade, buy one of his five guidebooks, and learn more
about hiking the outdoor recreation gem of the Upper Midwest.  

 

LSMMA's Evening Entertainment Series programs are always free and open to
the general public.  The September 29 event will begin at 7pm and be
followed by an opportunity to meet Andrew Slade at the book signing.

 

The LSMMA is a non-profit organization established in 1973 to preserve the
region's maritime history.  It also helps support the Marine Museum at the
Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center.  The
Association sponsors maritime-related educational and promotional programs
and assists in the maintenance and purchase of museum displays.
