In today's Federal Register, U.S. Department of State published a notice about a Presidential Permit to expand the Endbridge Pipeline (formerly known as Alberta Clipper pipeline) which is designed to bring heavy sour crude from tar sands production from Hardisty, Alberta to Superior, WI and to approach, eventually, 830,000 barrels per day transport -- the same size as the Keystone XL pipeline. The Alberta Clipper pipeline was previously completed in 2010, but was authorized at lower transport rates. I previously circulated a news story that addressed plans to construct a marine shipping terminal for petroleum in Superior, WI to increase shipping of petroleum on the Great Lakes. I think it is a fair statement that this proposed pipeline expansion will be integral to those plans to increase petroleum shipments from Superior, WI NOTICES Notice of Intent To Prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) and To Conduct Scoping and To Initiate Consultation consistent With the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) for the Proposed Enbridge Energy, Limited Partnership, Line 67 Capacity Expansion Project Pages 16565-16567 [FR DOC# 2013-06039] http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-03-15/pdf/2013-06039.pdf ======================================== Alex J.
