The ship is bringing in raw material for manufacturing. It is the first vessel of 2013 to arrive at Milwaukee's port through the Saint Lawrence Seaway. The Federal Welland is scheduled to dock at Terminal 2 at approximately 4:00 pm on April 4th. The Port of Milwaukee remains active throughout the winter as trucks and trains move cargo. Ships moving bulk material such as salt and cement between ports on the Great Lakes continue to operate during much of the winter. In 2012, nearly three dozen vessels moved cargo to and from the Port of Milwaukee by way of the Saint Lawrence Seaway. [Note to Editors: Media representatives interested in photographing the arrival can contact Jeff Fleming at 414-286-8580 to confirm the time and arrange for access.] The City of Milwaukee is subject to Wisconsin Statutes related to public records.
