Let's all hope too that Liz Harriman will stay on P2Tech, and on the job, for her contributions over the years have been enormously positive. For those of you who don't know: UMass Lowell's TURI, an essential part of the MA TURA program, has not yet received funding for the next fiscal year. There is still hope for funding through a supplemental budget but about all that can be done within MA has been done. If any of you feel the desire to act, please send your considered opinion to the appropriate parties. For further discussion please contact TURI or myself. I'm sure all of you who work for government know that my posting a message like this is political risky, but this seems like an emergency to me. Whoa! "knowledge capture and preservation, the semantic web, and computer modeling of social behavior. " It sounds fascinating, futuristic, and powerful enough that I'm hoping the FBI isn't sponsoring it.... Seriously, it sounds full of possibilities and I can't think of anyone better to connect it to rea world problems and viable solutions! I hope you are going to stay on P2tech as a hobby - your contributions are always excellent. Thank-you for your many pearls of wisdom and nuggets of expertise over the years! Too bad you are too far away to go out for a drink and celebrate the many productive accomplishments of Chemalliance!
