February 6, 2010 National Ocean Sciences Bowl Competition Ann Arbor, Michigan The Great Lakes Bowl is a regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB). Twenty-five participating regions across the U.S. host teams of high school students in a quiz-bowl style academic competition. The NOSB program also offers student scholarships and teacher professional development opportunities. Teams of high school students that can think fast and answer tough questions about marine and aquatic science are needed for this annual competition. Event organizers are looking for up to 16 teams. Each team consists of five high school students and one teacher/coach. The registration deadline is Dec. 1, 2009.
