What's New Whitehall moves quickly to dredge city marina White Lake Beacon (3/18) The City of Whitehall, Mich., is expediting the dredging of its city marina in hopes it will be ready for the boating season. Water levels around the city marina’s docks are currently down to four feet. Boaters lament low lake levels The Windsor Star (3/12) Lake levels are so low that many boaters will be forced to leave their crafts on land this year. Great Lakes levels up slightly, but 'boaters are going to be shocked' The Detroit News (3/1) In February, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron bounced back slightly from all-time record lows set in January, according to preliminary numbers released last week. However, boaters are still advised to be careful on the water. Lake St. Clair dredging to ease boater travel Grosse Pointe Patch (2/27) Receding water levels in Lake St. Clair have led officials in the City of Grosse Pointe, Mich., to hire a company to dredge its marina to help prevent boaters from running aground.
