Study: Asian carp unlikely to stow away in barges

Asian carp are unlikely to reach the Great Lakes by stowing away on commercial vessels in Chicago-area rivers and canals, the U.S. Coast Guard said Thursday.

Lakeshore gets shuttle funding

The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is set to receive $193,400 from the Federal Transit Administration for a shuttle service to connect visitors traveling by commuter rail to the park along Lake Michigan's southern shore.
